Eligibility
Applicants of any age and of any nationality are eligible. Candidates must comply with the following eligibility criteria:
Mobility requirements
Not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting organisation for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the recruitment date (unless as part of a compulsory national service or a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention).
Research experience
Candidates must be doctoral candidates, i.e. not already in possession of a doctoral degree at the date of recruitment. Candidates must enrol in a doctoral programme in a EU Member State/Associated Country.

Candidates need to submit their CV in the Application Form template provided in the download area.
Degree certificates
At the time of application, candidates must provide their Degree Certificates. Candidates must have completed the studies that lead to an official university degree that gives access to doctoral studies according to host organisation and relevant national rules.
Reference letters
Two reference letters will be requested at application stage and will form part of the evaluation criteria.
Research Supervisor Support Form
Applicants should get in touch with the relevant PhD project supervisor and submit a signed Research Supervisor Support Form with their application.
Language
Applicants must have a demonstrable level of English (B2 or higher).
Secondments
Secondments will be compulsory elements of a project and will last between 3 and 8 months.
