The NeuroNanotech MSCA Doctoral Network has officially launched its first Training Event today at IMDEA Nanociencia (Campus Cantoblanco, Madrid), marking a major milestone in the progress of the project. Over the next three days, doctoral candidates and partners from across Europe will gather for an intensive program combining scientific lectures, hands‑on learning, and intersectoral lectures.
The event opened today with a program that blends cutting-edge nanoscience with emerging neurotechnologies, talks on organoids and environmental hazard assessment.
Tomorrow’s program expands the training beyond the laboratory. The morning begins with a visit to the Fundación Juan XXIII Centre, offering participants a first-hand look at current solutions for intellectual disabilities—an important reminder of the societal impact that NeuroNanotech aims to achieve. Afternoon sessions will return to IMDEA Nanociencia, covering magnetic-based neuro applications, polymeric materials for implanted neural devices, FAIR data principles for safety and sustainability, and gender dimension in science.
On Thursday morning, the focus shifts to clinical and translational neuroscience, with talks on neurodegenerative diseases and functional network alterations along the Alzheimer’s continuum.
These sessions highlight the network’s commitment to bridging fundamental research with real-world medical challenges.
